So sad... | Thursday, September 20, 2007

I have only been away for a year - well almost a year.

but eversince i came back, reading the daily papers and watching the news on tv - really saddens me.

its like all of a sudden, Malaysia is such a....erm...Not So Safe Place to be in.

Malaysia - My Home.

and so many cases happening in Klang too.

Klang - My Home.

Its like every page you turn on the paper , it shows someone died or murdered or raped or robbed. Houses burnt down. Floods. the list goes on.

With the recent 8 years old girl -
Nurin Jazlin Jazimin - its such a sad sad sad thing.
All she did was to go out to the pasar malam and she never returns.

The lil girl was so beautiful. Only 8 years old, her whole life was right in front of her.
School to look forward to. The newest games to play with her friends. And with Raya just around the corner, new clothes, duit raya, kuih raya............

What is the world coming to ?
When i was a lil girl - i go to the pasar malam whenever i want to. Mind you, i was around 4 or 5 years old.
Went around my housing area whenever i feel like it. Go to the nearest grocery store and buy stuffs - buy eggs - etc.
Play in the play ground.
Cycle around.
Go around by myself.

Everybody knows everybody in our neighbourhood. Even if we do not know their names, we will smile and greet each other.
Back then, it was such a safe place.

One wonders, is this world now a safe place to bring up your children.
Is this world safe for you to even go out.......is this world safe - period.

I really hope and pray that the police find that psychotic killer soon.
whatever he/she did to the lil girl - do the exact same thing back to the killer - ten folds.

There should be a tighter law on punishing these psycho criminals.
Not just serving time in jail and caning.
That would be too nice.

If the moron is a rapist - castrate the bastard.

Some criminals do not deserved a second chance.

Stone them to death - just like the olden days.

Whatever they did to their victims - do the exact same thing to them - ten folds.

Nowdays, People are so concern with the small things - they overlooked at whats more important.

Day in Day out - you read the papers - one child is missing - one child got raped - one child found strangled - one runaway from home -
it goes on.
Its even worse when the wrong doings were done by people that these victims know - even extremely worse its when its their own family.
You think strangers are scary but for many cases, such things were done by people closes to them.
Its sad.

We need to educate the public - educate ourselves - educate our children.

Do you wish to have your children growing up in a world where should they go out, they would need to bring a Gun with them....Just in Case......
or bring a knife....would that be better ?
