Dinner with Seng & Yen | Monday, September 29, 2008
I had dinner with two of my buddies. They were my buddies when i was onboard.
Yen has already left like me but she left much later. She was my buddy aka sister onboard. hehe we were always together. ^_^ Lunch or dinner or even supper. Or when we would sneak a break in the officers mess and have breads with tuna or her favourite honey and peanut butter!! we dont just do that during tea time - its something we have during supper at wee hours of the night!! especially after crew bar or before!! hahah Sure do miss those days.
Until she went on her vacation and then signed onto a different ship. We managed to keep in touch, wasnt easy but we did ^_^
Ah Seng is actually Yen's friend. When Yen was onboard, i didnt really talk much to Ah Seng. But it was during dry-dock that i started hanging out more with Ah Seng and another of our friend Cammy. I've blogged about him before. We hanged out alot during the dry-dock. It was some of the highlights during my stint on the ship line. He brought me and a few other friends to Chinatown...Clark Quay...Night Safari - just check it out.
But anyway he is a real good friend. Like a brother! ^_^
Anyways, Ah Seng is back on land for a couple of weeks for his vacation. We had met up earlier but Yen was always bz. So finally we managed to get all 3 of us together - for dinner in Klang.
They had to come to Klang coz im such a Cinderella coz i cant hang out too late at night therefore meeting them in KL would be a big No No. But Ah Seng's sister actually lives in Klang so its not to bad. We usually meet up in Klang anyway.
We met up for drinks at Leo's Cafe in Bukit Tinggi. Coz Ah Seng only knows Bukit Tinggi in Klang, hehehe
And then we went to Ulu Yam Restaurant for their famous Ulu Yam Loh Mee.
I did the ordering. I ordered my favourites - the Claypot Noodle that consists of yam,pork ribs and home made noodles! Its Yummmy!! Fried Fish Cakes. Spring / Pork Roll. Sweet Potato Leaves. Then Ah Seng added another order later - Loh Mee. We order everything in small rather than big. There were only 2 options of sizes anyway. hehehe
But it was one full dinner. By the time we finished, we've got a few more hours to kill before my curfew. i know i know...my curfew...curfew at my age~! hahaha trust me, i had the guys laughin n mockin me about it all night!
So back to the dinner, well rather after the dinner, we walked over to my other fav place that i have not been to in AGES - Jeth Ice Cream & Cafe.
Just to have a drink as we were all super full.
We spent a good portion of the night chit chating and catching. The last time 3 of us actually hang out together like this was also when Ah Seng was back for his vacation.
It was a great evening.

The Yummy Fried Fish Cakes! its homemade. and its good!!
Stir-Fried Sweet Potato Leaves. Its stir-fried with fermanted beancurd. Very tangy taste. ^_^Spring / Pork Roll - its yummy. I have never tried it before but i like it!!
This is my favourite - Claypot Noodles!! We dig in before i could snap a pic!! hahaha Yen order Ice Lime Juice with Asam. hmm...not a fan lo. but i guess its ok. Ah Seng ordered this, i cant remember what but i think its Ice Coffee with Ice Cream.
My favourite drink. well one of my fav at Jeth. This is Ice Blue Spirit ^_^ Its blue but it has lychee flavoured ice and so soo refreshing!! my other fav drink would be the Ice Longan Milk but i was too full to hv something that heavy.
But its been a long time. It was nice catching up with them. 3 of us wont be catching together anytime soon coz Ah Seng is signing back onto SSR on Friday. Will miss him dearly!! He was my go to guy onboard. The brother!!! Have a safe trip Seng!! Send my love to Candy!! miss her too!!
Until he gets his butt back for his next vacation, Yen and I will just have to find time to meet up with each other when we can. Without Ah Seng!hahahaha
