Sometime ago, my friend blogged about " Whats the meaning to life? Why do we exist? ". I actually did try to blogged about it but i had the blogger's block. =p....and that entry is still listed as just a draft.....
As it is, i do not know what life really meant and whats the reason for our existence. I wished i had the correct answer to this. I wished that i knew what life is......why are we here....why are we who we are......
then i found out a friend of mine - had on her status in FB as " *********** is depressed........what life actually is???"
its not that we are close friends at all. we were marely once colleagues......spoken to each other for just a handful of times.......not close at all. we dont even worked in the same department, just under the company. but when i saw the status, i just felt that i could in some ways relate to her, not knowing whether she was depressed over work....or family....or life....
not to say that im depressed, as it is thats a pretty strong word. But i have definately gone through times when life sucks!! nothing i do/did was ever the right thing to..etc...it could go on but you get what i meant. So anyway, i sent her a pretty long note. Hoping that it will in some way help her and to let her know that she is not alone. Just something sincere out of my heart not expecting anything in return but just hoping it does give her a lil light as to where life will lead her. Hopefully to better grounds.
And as i was typing, it came to my mind.
There is never truly an answer to what life means...unless you are speaking from the point of science - then that you will definately get an answer. =p
One can never really find the right answer....as it is there might not even be a right answer. its not a test that you are required to score full mark. no one is gonna penalise you if your answer is different from others. And definately no one can tell you that your answers are wrong. NO ONE.
Our existence in life is another great mystery if you asked me. why are we here ? why this era ? why this part of the great earth ? why as us ?
Religion plays a role. I am a buddhist/taosit by family and culture. But at the same time i am aware of the other religions such as Muslim's practice....Hindu's belief and Christianity's teachings...... i am not a super religious person. i do not visit the temple often. but i do have a practice where at times i felt a lil uncomfortable, i do chanted a lil saying that my mum has taught me before. i do not have daily prayers but i do believe in God. I do believe in Karma.I believe we are what we are is bcoz in our past life we must have done some good. I do believe in practicing only the good things.
Of coz, im no angel either hence there are sure to be hiccups here and there. ^___^
I believe based on religion terms - there is a purpose for our existence. But i think it is to which extend you would choose to believe - to practice - to accept.
My answer is probably not gonna be able to satisfied my friend's friend. whom that post was meant for.
But i think no one can ever tell us whats life.....whats its purpose.....what does it truly mean.....and how does our existence play a role in this life? this world ? this universe ? how do we play our role in those that exist in our life? and vice versa. this could go on and on and on.... =p
so for the moment - i guess i will have to stick to my none-judgemental-purely my own-without prejudice-answer ~ that we have to continue to live, seek, dream, hope, discover and explore our life and if we are lucky enough ~ we might just find the answer. But until then, do not worry if you do not have an answer............coz thats just LIFE !! its makes its more interesting & fun!!!
